First step is to prepare onions, black pepper, bay leaves, oyster sauce, honey and small amounts of soy sauce as your marinating mix for the pork. Wait for 1 to 2 hours for the pork to be marinated. A well-prepared griller shall be ready for the meat after marinating. It will take ten to fifteen minutes for the pork to cook on each side. To cook this dish, have prepare the greens for this. We need half a teaspoon of celery seed, another half a teaspoon of marjoram leaves and an onion. We also need 2 cans of Sauerkraut (drained), 4 pieces of pork hocks and an apple sliced into 8-pieces. 4 cups of water will be greatly needed for this recipe.
Please use a kettle or a Dutch oven for cooking. Use moderate heat for this dish. Cook together the marjoram, onion, water and the meat. Once it boils, gradually decrease the heat. Cover the kettle and let it cook for 1 and a half hour. Once it is finished, drain some of the water and keep aside a cup.
Add the other ingredients such as the celery seed, the drained sauerkraut and the reserved water from the boiled meat. Cover the dish again and let it cook for another 15 minutes. After which, put the apple slices and wait for another 15. Finally serve the dish and let your guests enjoy the delightful taste of your cooking.
